\tEnsure effective stakeholder management through identifying potential conflict situations, take pro-active action and minimise implication
\n\tResponsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and management of the Seriti asset protection and intelligence strategy.
\n\tManagerial Authority to ensure adequate protection of Seriti assets against theft and the influence of fraud through advising management on asset and fraud protection and proactively dealing with \/ managing any potential threat to company assets
\n\tReview crime trends and identify high risk issues
\n\tProviding oversight and technical guidance on Technology solutions and risk reviews.
\n\tRemaining current with the legislative changes and the technology that impacts the Security services environment
\n\tDevelop, implement, and monitor processes to ensure a safe and secure working environment and optimize asset and resource protection
\n\tProvide investigative support to the business units
\n\tIdentifying, analysing, and interpreting strategic departmental KPI\u2019s, timely identifying and informing management of potential security risks and recommending corrective action
\n\tManagerial and Direct Responsibility to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the South African Police Service
\n\tOversee, and control departmental projects so that spending is in line with Seriti\u2019s requirements through operational specifications as well as ensuring cost saving and the minimisation of waste
\n\tManagerial and Advisory Authority to Effective People management, ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability
\n\tManagerial Authority to ensure effective public policing & protest protocol management
\n\tIdentify security and investigation needs by monitoring security indicators and trends
\n\tIdentify and implement asset optimisation initiatives for the department
\n\tEffective People management, ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability
\n\tFinancial Budgeting & Management<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma \/ Degree in Protection \/ Forensic Services
\n\tRegistered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A or equivalent
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 service in a managerial position and Investigations
\n\tCertified capable to carry a firearm by SAPS
\n\tKnowledge of forensic auditing and forensic systems and processes
\n\tKnowledge of security management
\n\tExperience in conducting security and public liability audits
\n\tCompetent in protection services systems and procedures used in the organisation (e.g. buying, tendering, and adjudicating procedures)
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of the Seriti Code of Conduct, policies and procedures
\n\tExpert knowledge in security systems and processes
\n\tKnowledge of relevant legislation including: Criminal Procedures Act, Statute Law, Security Officers Act, Law of Evidence Mine Health and Safety Act & Labour Law
\n\tKnowledge of suspect pre-employment and company screening
\n\tAbility to conduct criminal investigations and give evidence in court, conduct white collar crime investigations, trace, and apprehend suspects, manage dockets and to handle informers
\n\tPrevious involvement in court cases and providing evidence in court
\n\tKnowledge of mining industry and applicable legislation – Criminal Procedure\/ Amendment Acts, Harmful Business Practices Act, International Co-Operation in Criminal Matters Act, Prevention of Organised Crime Act, Proceeds of Crime Act, Promotion of Access to Information Act & Rationalisation of Corporate Laws Act
\n\tContract and contractor management experience
\n\tSkilled in the following areas: organisational, analytical, and problem-solving, leadership and managerial, stakeholder engagement and management, advanced written and verbal communication, including report writing skills
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of the Colliery Administration Procedure Manual (CAPM)
\n\tKnowledge of protection services systems and procedures
\n\tSafety & Risk Management courses
\n\tChange management experience
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tIn possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness<\/p>\n
