Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe ideal team player will operate the front-end loader in the receiving bay and assist with the safe and efficient offloading, movement, and handling of raw materials in accordance with company standards.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMin 1-2 years Front-end loader operating experience
\n\tValid license required
\n\tGrade 12 certificate or equivalent.
\n\tComputer literate (basic – Microsoft Office).
\n\tAnimal feed mill or agricultural experience will be advantageous.
\n\tWorking at Heights Certification will be advantageous.
\n\tMaize Grading Certification will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOperate the front-end loader to offload, move, and position raw materials in the receiving bay in the correct processing areas.
\n\tAssist with manual offloading of raw materials when mechanical offloading is not possible.
\n\tEnsure the correct type and quality of raw materials are delivered according to production schedules.
\n\tPerform daily pre-start inspections and basic checks on the front-end loader as required.
\n\tMonitor material quality and report contamination, shortages, or deviations immediately.
\n\tComply with all health, safety, environmental, and site-specific procedures.
\n\tMaintain the cleanliness of the loader and raw material handling areas.
\n\tReport equipment defects, breakdowns, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
\n\tComplete operational logs, checklists, and production-related documentation.
\n\tAssist with stock control and raw material management when required.<\/p>\n
Skills Required<\/p>\n
\tMust be able to work shifts.
\n\tMust be able to work overtime to meet business requirements.
\n\tGood communication skills (Verbal and written).
\n\tExcellent attention to detail.
\n\tAbility to keep detailed records.
\n\tMust have good vision.
\n\tMust have good respiratory health.
\n\tMathematic and measurement skills.
\n\tExperience working with loading equipment.
\n\tAbility to work in noisy and dusty environments.
\n\tMust be able to work at heights.
\n\tMust be able to work in a team<\/p>\n
