Key Accountabilities and Outputs:<\/p>\n
\tWorking closely with R&D department with future development of products on Machine settings to be able deliver at trial stages.
\n\tWorking with the Tufting Apprentice on maintenance of machinery as part of their practical learning and development.
\n\tOrdering and replenishing stock such as machine spares (motors, clutches, oil filters, hydraulic parts, pneumatic parts, hooks, needles, loopers for the workshop to ensure that shift has sufficient supplies.
\n\tCarries out looper, knife and needle change accurately
\n\tCarry out general maintenance on all machines
\n\tCarry out machine settings according the ISO45001 Standards
\n\tResponsible for carrying out product change overs according to the product specifications
\n\tAssist with Installations within the Tufting department
\n\tPerforms fault finding on machines during breakdowns
\n\tResponsible for performing technical procedures on machines accurately
\n\tEnsure adherence to the ISO Standards
\n\tEnsure housekeeping is adhered to according to the OHSA
\n\tMust work within the company rules
\n\tMust follow procedure for primary backing changes on machines accurately to reduce any damage to the machine
\n\tResponsible for increasing and decreasing the widths on machine when following seaming plans to ensure customer needs are met as per product specifications
\n\tResponsible for all relevant maintenance documents, technical documents and logbooks such as breakdown slips, Time shifts and Toolbox talks.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric with Math
\n\tCompleted a CTFL \/Carpet Technology Learnership
\n\tCompleted a 3-year Tufting Mechanician Apprenticeship
\n\tTrade Tested
\n\t2-3 years working experience in a supervisory role
\n\tAbility to work on heights
\n\tAbility to work in confined spaces due to operational requirements
\n\tAbility to work in standing position for extended hours
\n\tMust be comfortable working on elevated surfaces
\n\tMust be flexible to working extended hours<\/p>\n
