Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tIntegration & Architecture: Engage with external data sources to secure automated feeds and design technical solutions for data receipt in required formats.
\n\tTechnical Setup: Lead the configuration of onsite hardware and network infrastructure, including port forwarding and static IP setups.
\n\tAutomation & Scripting: Use R or Python to create automation scripts, utilizing existing libraries to drive efficiency and reusability.
\n\tSystems Integration: Configure and troubleshoot connectors for various ERP\/Accounting systems and write custom SQL extraction queries.
\n\tData Science Support: Assist with research and projects involving statistical theory, machine learning concepts, and time series analysis.
\n\tMonitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor the health of automated feeds (“satellites”) and resolve connectivity or data integrity issues promptly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Your skills and experience include<\/p>\n
\tEducation: A Tertiary Degree or Diploma in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant technical certification.
\n\tExperience: 2\u20134 years in a technical role within a data-centric environment.
\n\tProgramming Skills: Proficiency in R or Python with a solid grasp of core programming concepts (functions, loops, and variables).
\n\tDatabase Expertise: Advanced MS SQL Server skills, including joins, stored procedures, and relational warehousing knowledge.
\n\tNetwork Knowledge: A confident understanding of Windows file systems and network infrastructure (TCP\/IP, DHCP).
\n\tMathematical Foundation: University-level knowledge of probability, distributions, and linear algebra.
\n\tTools: High proficiency in Excel and experience with JIRA, SharePoint, and Azure Cloud services.<\/p>\n
