Your Mission:<\/p>\n
\tConduct systematic diagnostics on plant, process, and equipment performance issues
\n\tIdentify root causes of recurring breakdowns, instability, quality losses, and inefficiencies
\n\tSupport fault-finding across electrical, instrumentation, control, and mechanical interfaces (in collaboration with relevant disciplines)
\n\tProvide rapid technical support during abnormal plant conditions and major incidents
\n\tSupport optimisation initiatives across paper machines, finishing, utilities, and supporting systems
\n\tIdentify improvement opportunities related to availability, reliability, speed, yield, and energy efficiency
\n\tAssist with commissioning, tuning, and stabilisation of modified or new equipment
\n\tDrive continuous improvement actions aligned with MMS \/ IWS principles
\n\tSupport reliability improvement plans by analysing failure trends and performance data
\n\tContribute to RCAs, problem-solving sessions, and stability reviews
\n\tAssist in developing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repeat failures
\n\tSupport maintenance strategies and condition-based monitoring initiatives
\n\tAnalyse plant data, trends, and performance indicators to support decision-making
\n\tTranslate technical findings into clear, practical recommendations for operations and maintenance teams
\n\tPrepare diagnostic reports, summaries, and improvement proposals for management review
\n\tWork closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and safety teams to implement improvements
\n\tProvide technical coaching and on-the-job support to artisans, operators, and junior staff
\n\tAct as a technical bridge between operations and engineering during problem-solving and improvement projects
\n\tEnsure all diagnostic and optimisation activities comply with Mondi safety standards and legal requirements
\n\tActively identify and mitigate safety risks associated with plant and equipment performance
\n\tPromote a strong safety culture during troubleshooting and improvement work<\/p>\n
Your profile:<\/p>\n
\tTrade tested Electrician or Millwright with proven technical expertise
\n\tNational Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
\n\tAdditional technical training in controls, instrumentation, or diagnostics would be advantageous
\n\tMinimum of 5 \u2013 8 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
\n\tProven experience in plant troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability support
\n\tExposure to paper machines, finishing, or heavy process industries would be advantageous
\n\tAdvanced fault-finding and diagnostic capability
\n\tStrong understanding of plant systems and interdependencies
\n\tData interpretation and problem-solving skills
\n\tContinuous improvement and optimisation mindset<\/p>\n
