Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tThis role is responsible for the co-ordination and management of the planned maintenance programme for the processing plant or mine by providing planning, control systems and implementation of policies and strategies for the management of assets and equipment whilst optimizing the interface with mining, plant and underground systems<\/p>\n

Effective coordination of the operation planned maintenance program as follows:<\/p>\n
Asset Care Strategy<\/p>\n
\tFacilitates an annual maintenance management plan for his area of responsibility that is aligned with the 5-year improvement plan.
\n\tAssists in addressing all key elements of asset care strategy using KPIs.
\n\tFacilitates cross-functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
\n\tDevelops business processes, roles and responsibilities for the maintenance management function.
\n\tAddressing all key elements of asset care strategy using KPIs.
\n\tFacilitates cross-functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
\n\tDevelops business processes, roles and responsibilities for the maintenance management function.<\/p>\n
Preventive Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tEstablishes programs to minimise unplanned downtime on key equipment.
\n\tDevelops RCM based tactics for all maintenance significant equipment.<\/p>\n
Planning and Scheduling<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that the OM work management process is followed.
\n\tEnsures that scheduling of work is optimised in terms of resources and plant downtime.
\n\tSupports the FLM to ensure scheduled work is completed ahead of the required date.<\/p>\n
Information Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that all work is controlled by works orders and information loops are closed.
\n\tLiaises with section Engineers, GES and FLMs to confirm that all technical manuals and documents are up to date.
\n\tVerifies that KPIs and reports have been refined, accurate and communicated.
\n\tEnsures that the SAP PM, MM and CO systems are properly supported throughout the work management process.
\n\tEnsure integrity and quality of work order feedback captured.
\n\tEnsures KPI and equipment performance reports are produced at specified intervals.<\/p>\n
Early Equipment Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsures, as far as possible, that maintenance personnel are involved in new equipment specifications.
\n\tEnsures that appropriate maintenance tactics are developed for all new equipment before commissioning.
\n\tParticipate in mine wide RCM tactics template development and review for primary production equipment.
\n\tEnsures the change management process is completed for all changes to maintenance tactics and new equipment registered in SAP.<\/p>\n
Training and Development<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that a skills matrix and training plans are in place for all asset management personnel under his control.
\n\tActively manages the training program of planning personnel.
\n\tFocuses on technical skills, coaching and structured root cause analysis.<\/p>\n
Maintenance Material Management<\/p>\n
\tDevelops critical spare parts lists using a structured RCM methodology.
\n\tEnsures that a material management strategy is in place.
\n\tActively supports the codification and bills of material initiatives.<\/p>\n
Maintenance Facilities and Tools<\/p>\n
\tFacilitates or manages a tool store function
\n\tDetermines, in conjunction with FLMs and section Engineers, that all facilities and tools are adequate for basic maintenance tasks
\n\tDevelops business processes, roles and responsibilities for the maintenance work management \u00a0<\/p>\n
The role is a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Engineer Asset Management<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tMatric plus, Technical NQF4 plus Trade Certificate with a minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience as an Artisan;\u00a0plus 5 years’ experience in an Asset Management environment\u00a0OR,
\n\tNational Higher Diploma (T4\/S4) or B. Tech with a minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience post qualification in an asset management environment;\u00a0plus, Asset Management Certificate at NQF6 or Asset Management Professional Development Program.
\n\tSAP-PM certification (advantageous)
\n\tEnterprise Asset Management\u00a0systems experience\/knowledge will be advantageous
\n\tCode EB Driver\u2019s License.
\n\tComputer Literacy.<\/p>\n
