The incumbent leads the strategic implementation of learner support, data analytics, and performance monitoring within the UP-PUA. They manage the Career Hub, guiding learners in career planning and university readiness. The position develops and maintains learner tracking systems to identify trends and at-risk learners. It supports evidence-based decision-making through performance reporting and analytics. Programme evaluation, research, and publication contribute to continuous improvement. \u00a0Success mentoring ensures sustained academic and personal development for learners from high school into university.\u00a0<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
\tOversees the Career Hub by managing learner guidance, parental engagement, and academic support initiatives to enhance student readiness and career development.
\n\tDevelops and manages data analytics and tracking systems to monitor learner progression and inform targeted interventions.
\n\tProvides strategic data analysis and performance reporting to support evidence-based decision-making with the Director\u2019s Office.
\n\tLeads programme evaluations and survey initiatives while contributing as a member of the research to support data analysis and insights for the Pre-University Academy.
\n\tCoordinates the Success Mentoring Programme to support learners\u2019 academic progress, well-being, and transition into university and beyond.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tAn MSc degree in Science Education OR an MEd in Education\u00a0<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of three years\u2019 experience in\u00a0
\n\tExperience in career guidance and subject choice information;
\n\tExperience in course coordination;
\n\tExperience with After or out-of-school programmes for High school learners;\u00a0
\n\tExperience in the use of appropriate systems (preferably PeopleSoft, and the PS Financial module);
\n\tExperience in qualitative and quantitative research;
\n\tData Analytics & Reporting;
\n\tEducation Data & Research;
\n\tExperience in working with data;
\n\tExperience in an academic environment and the development of e-learning material
\n\tExperience in the development of online tools;<\/p>\n
