Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tA Master\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
\n\tMust be in the 3rd\u00a0or 4th\u00a0year of their PhD<\/p>\n
\u00a0Additional Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t2 years post-graduate experience in Mechanical Engineering.
\n\tAbove average Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
\n\tExperience as a tutor, lecturer, teaching assistant, or involvement in academic support.
\n\tEmerging research trajectories such as publications, conference presentations, or an emerging research profile.
\n\tStrong analytical, communication, and academic writing skills.
\n\tEvidence of community engagement or involvement in professional\/industry bodies.
\n\tCommitment to transformation, innovation, and advancing knowledge in their field.
\n\tFamiliarity with higher education teaching methodologies and learning technologies.
\n\tAbility to work collaboratively within academic teams and under mentorship.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Summary of Duties<\/p>\n
\tCompetent preparation and delivery of learning material related to Mechanical Engineering and appropriate technologies to students at an undergraduate level using online platforms.
\n\tDevelopment of learning material for Mechanical Engineering courses.
\n\tSupervise, educate, and assess undergraduate students.
\n\tUndertake assessment and administration duties related to teaching and learning.
\n\tFacilitate learning effectively through traditional and online methods.\u00a0
\n\tUndertake research and publications, and become involved in community engagement.
\n\tWorking collegially with team members toward attaining the department, faculty, and university goals.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with administrative and other duties as delegated by the Head of Department or Representative.<\/p>\n
