\tDis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a Dispensary Manager for their Bedfordview store, Manage and supervise the dispensary, including self-medication and staff. Ensure the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patients\u2019 related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric
\n\tBPharm \/ equivalent qualification
\n\tRegistered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
\n\tRegistered tutor
\n\tUnisolv experience
\n\tExperience in supervising staff
\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office
\n\tSound numerical skills
\n\tStrong command of the English language and a second language
\n\tWilling and able to work retail hours<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tPrevious management experience of at least 7 staff
\n\tRelevant retail\/ FMCG experience
\n\tThird additional language
\n\tSAP experience
\n\tE-scripting experience<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed, and that staff work within their scope of practice
\n\tEnsure Good Pharmacy Practice rules regulations are adhered to by staff
\n\tEnsure no expired\/short-dated stock is held
\n\tEnsure expired stock is regularly disposed of and kept separate to usable stock
\n\tEnsure negative stock is investigated and managed daily
\n\tPrepare for stocktake in advance
\n\tFollow stock ordering process to reach maximum purchasing compliance
\n\tMaintain stock levels
\n\tEnsure Schedule 6 medication is locked away, and that the register is maintained and balanced quarterly
\n\tEnsure SAPC registration and annual registration fees are kept up to date
\n\tAccurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC
\n\tCapture script details accurately and verify patients\u2019 details on the system
\n\tEnsure accurate picking\/packing\/labeling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions
\n\tProvide accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied
\n\tKeep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing
\n\tExplain all medical aid costs to patients
\n\tProcess all paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aids
\n\tEnsure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS, and oncology medication
\n\tMaintain customer profiles on the system
\n\tMerge profiles locally, and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally
\n\tTake note of any messages on the customer profile, and take suitable action
\n\tEnsure Dispensary Admin Assistant is trained and in control of the bulk of the dispensary admin<\/p>\n
