Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tMaintenance Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment \u00a0Attend and conduct Safety meetings. \u00a0Conduct and participate in risk assessments. \u00a0Allocate tasks to subordinates. \u00a0Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required. \u00a0Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required. \u00a0Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates. \u00a0Comply to environmental requirements. \u00a0Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components. \u00a0Maintains a high quality of work. \u00a0Provide information in a timely and accurate manner. \u00a0Record results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format. \u00a0Work in a sequence that prioritises work requirements. \u00a0Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM\u2019s). \u00a0Performing work to the required standards and specifications. \u00a0Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks.
\n\tOperations \u00a0Assist in establishing programs to minimise unplanned downtime on critical equipment. \u00a0Participate in cross functional teams to address cleaning, lubrication and first line maintenance functions. \u00a0Participate in the development of RCM-based task lists for all key equipment. \u00a0Participate in failure analysis techniques for cross functional teams. \u00a0Analyse maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns. \u00a0To ensure that preventive actions are implemented to ensure effective maintenance programs. \u00a0Make formalised recommendation to the Engineers, Foremen and GESs. \u00a0To ensure that maintenance schedules are agreed upon by production and engineering. \u00a0Ensure that capacity planning is done on a daily basis, which includes both preventative as well as corrective maintenance tasks \u00a0To ensure that all work is controlled through work orders and that all information loops are closed. \u00a0Liaise with Supervisors to confirm that all technical manuals and documents are up to date and stored in a Technical Library. \u00a0Participate in new equipment specifications. \u00a0To participate in on-site and company RCM development and review for primary production equipment. \u00a0Determines, in conjunction with Supervisors, that all facilities and tools are adequate for basic maintenance tasks. \u00a0Assist with any other additional ad-hoc engineering tasks\/projects as required.
