PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for checking Inventory levels, identify gaps and conduct cycle counts; and identifying, researching and solving material count inaccuracies to preserve data integrity.
\n\tThe employee must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain the expected work pace and meet productivity guidelines set by Alstom Ubunye.<\/p>\n
KEY NETWORK & LINKS:<\/p>\n
\tInternal: Line Managers, Warehousing, Testing Technicians (PME), Process and manufacturing Engineering staff, Procurement, Industrial Quality team, other Shift Supervisors, Continuous Improvement, other Testing Operators.
\n\tEnsure the processes associated with maintaining an accurate inventory are being adhered to.\u00a0
\n\tDevise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
\n\tPerform cycle counts by reviewing documentation and verifying against perpetual stock in inventory.
\n\tCommunicate and address concerns and issues.
\n\tIdentify and research new procedures and protocols for process improvement; present these to warehouse management.
\n\tInvestigate discrepancies and inventory shortages (A3 root cause).
\n\tMonitor inventory to avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
\n\tLaunch root cause analysis for any discrepancies
\n\tCollaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
\n\tReport to material planners and upper management on stock levels, issues etc.<\/p>\n

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tSupply Chain Diploma or equivalent
\n\tStudying towards a qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE \/ EXPERIENCE \/BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES<\/p>\n
\t3 – 5 years administration experience.
\n\tSAP and MS Office Knowledge is mandatory.
\n\tIndustrial knowledge, Basic product knowledge and rolling stock manufacturing process.
\n\tRun data analysis and pays close attention to details
\n\tAbility to accurately track inventory and compile inventory reports
\n\tAn analytical mind with strong math skills
