Job Description<\/p>\n
\tPerforms routine field trial activities under supervision.
\n\tPerforms routine greenhouse and laboratory activities under supervision.
\n\tAssists in coordinating of work activities and supervises allocated HR resources, if applicable.
\n\tAdheres to work plans and provide verbal and written feedback on work activities to supervisor.
\n\tUtilizes equipment, tools, and materials.
\n\tAdheres to financial administrative controls.
\n\tProvides research support, diagnostics and other services.
\n\tCollects data under supervision.
\n\tAdheres to quality standards.
\n\tVisible compliance with Human Resource policies and procedures and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (NQF 4) with three (3) years relevant experience in Crop Protection or Plant Production\u00a0OR\u00a0Grade 10 (NQF 2) with ten (10) years relevant experience in Crop Protection or Plant Production.
\n\tRelevant experience in cultivation of vegetable crops in open field and\/or in tunnels.
\n\tExperience in pest management in a greenhouse and associated sanitation procedure.
\n\tExperience in pest scouting and sample collection.
\n\tExperience in field trial management will be an added advantage.
\n\tExperience in mass insect rearing will be an added advantage.
\n\tValid drivers\u2019 licence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
