Job Description<\/p>\n
\tAn exciting vacancy exists at King Phalo Airport for a Fire Fighter 1 within the Operations Management division.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Output<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Supervisor Fire and Rescue, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain operational readiness of resources including vehicle, equipment and infrastructure to comply with Airport category.
\n\tAdhere to relevant statutory\/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, ACSA policies and procedures, employee manual and Service Level Agreements\/MOU to ensure business continuity.
\n\tActivate and respond to all relevant incidents and accidents within area of jurisdiction, scope of training and expertise. Analyse, Monitor, identify, mitigate and report areas of non-compliance (HIRA).
\n\tConduct Runway, Taxi-way and Apron inspections and patrols to reduce potential hazards, notify ATC and take remedial action if necessary.
\n\tBuild, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure achievement of organisational goals and enhance emergency response preparedness.
\n\tRecord and capture information for billing purposes. (Flight Information Display screens real-time).
\n\tParticipate in educational Fire and Safety awareness programmes.
\n\tMaintain level of physical fitness as per ACSA policies and procedures.
\n\tAttend mandatory Aviation training as per ACSA policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
\n\tPerform the same duties and functions in line with the requirements for an Aircraft Marshaller
\n\tRespond to all medical emergencies within area of jurisdiction and scope of training.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:<\/p>\n
\tA valid Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
\n\tSAESI Fire Fighter 1 essential
\n\tSAESI Hazmat Awareness and Operations is essential
\n\tHPCSA BAA\/ First Aid Level 3 essential
\n\tFire Fighting & Rescue 6 months experience essential
\n\tDrivers license Code B essential<\/p>\n
