Main Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAssist with preparing project estimates and quotations based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
\n\tPerform material take-offs and basic cost calculations.
\n\tSupport order preparation once projects are awarded.
\n\tProduce accurate General Arrangement and fabrication drawings using Auto CAD
\n\tRevise and update drawings as required during project execution
\n\tEnsure drawings align with engineering requirements, standards, and client specifications
\n\tMaintain drawing accuracy and revision control
\n\tWork closely with the Engineering team to ensure structures comply with relevant codes and standards.
\n\tAssist in preparing documentation required for engineering review and final sign-off.
\n\tSupport resolution of design or constructability queries in collaboration with engineers.
\n\tAssist technical manager with installation queries when required.
\n\tProvide technical support related to drawings, layouts, and structural details.
\n\tAssist in addressing technical queries from site under guidance of the engineering team.
\n\tMaintain organised technical documentation and drawing records.
\n\tAssist in compiling technical information for internal use and project records.
\n\tProvide updates on drafting and technical tasks to the Safbuild Technical Manager<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications required:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum academic qualification: National Diploma Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or similar qualification)
\n\tQualifications as an added advantage: Degree (advantageous) in Civil or Structural Engineering<\/p>\n
Experience required:<\/p>\n
\tGeneral work experience (years): 03 years Exposure to structural steel or light steel framing systems (advantageous)
\n\tSpecific to the position (level\/discipline\/years): 03 years Site exposure or willingness to assist on installations and Basic understanding of estimating processes (advantageous)
\n\tIndustry: Steel manufacturing, construction, or structural engineering environment.<\/p>\n
