\tAn eager wireman who will\u00a0be responsible for\u00a0the wiring, assembling, and testing of electrical control panels. This role requires\u00a0a high level\u00a0of precision and technical skill to ensure that all panels meet quality and safety standards.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Knowledge and abilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAbility to read electrical drawings and panel layouts\u00a0
\n\tGood attention to detail and neat wiring practices\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of industrial control components\u00a0
\n\tExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\u00a0
\n\tBasic fault-finding and testing skills\u00a0
\n\tAbility to work with low-voltage and control circuits\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bKey Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAssemble electrical control panels, distribution boards,\u00a0
\n\tInstall and wire components such as:\u00a0
\n\tCircuit breakers\u00a0
\n\tContactors\u00a0
\n\tRelays\u00a0
\n\tTimers\u00a0
\n\tTerminal blocks
\n\tRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.\u00a0
\n\tCut, strip, label, and\u00a0terminate\u00a0wires according to wiring standards.\u00a0
\n\tMount electrical components on DIN rails, panels, and backplates.\u00a0
\n\tPerform point-to-point wiring inside panels.\u00a0
\n\tTest panels for continuity, insulation, and functionality before delivery.\u00a0
\n\tAssist\u00a0with fault finding and troubleshooting in panels.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure wiring\u00a0complies with\u00a0South African electrical standards (SANS 10142).\u00a0
\n\tMaintain a clean and organized workshop environment.\u00a0
\n\tReading a panel drawing\u00a0
\n\tMounting components on a panel board\u00a0
\n\tWiring contactors and relays\u00a0
\n\tLabelling\u00a0wires and terminals\u00a0
\n\tTesting circuits with a\u00a0multimeter\u00a0
\n\tPreparing completed panels for installation\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tNational Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4
\n\tElectrical qualification (N2\u2013N4 Electrical Engineering or Trade Test)\u00a0

\n\tKnowledge of industrial electrical systems<\/p>\n
