About the role<\/p>\n
\tThe Lease Controller is responsible for the maintenance high integrity and updating of lease data within approved systems and otherwise, accurate record-keeping and analysis of data, for the purpose of providing strategic insights on the portfolio.<\/p>\n
Lease Data Management:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain an up-to-date lease database with accurate records of all lease agreements, amendments, and key terms
\n\tReview lease contracts for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
\n\tManage lease-related correspondence with landlords, property managers, and internal stakeholders<\/p>\n

\tGenerate contract and portfolio reports and provide insights on movements
\n\tSupport governance reporting<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bDocument Management:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure both electronic and physical filing of lease documentation, in line with company and client policies and procedures<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bFinancial and Compliance Management:<\/p>\n
\tAssist in lease cost analysis and variance reporting for financial planning and budgeting.
\n\tMonitor and reconcile lease payments, ensuring accuracy in rent calculations, escalations, and service charges.
\n\tWork closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with contractual financial obligations.<\/p>\n

\tEnsure zero involvement in incidents attributable to any illegal or wrongful act, conduct or omission (including negligence) nor service failure<\/p>\n
This position has the authority to:<\/p>\n
\tExecute assigned tasks under supervision of the Account Executive
\n\tNo independent approval, financial, or contractual authority
\n\tEscalate risks, delays, or uncertainties promptly
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems
\n\tExperience in Real Estate\/Lease Management would be an added advantage.
\n\t5+ years of experience in data\/business analysis and people management.
\n\tStrong knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting and financial reconciliation.
\n\tExperience in working with lease management systems and financial reporting tools.
\n\tFamiliarity with lease agreements, rent calculations, and service charge reconciliations<\/p>\n
