\tOur client, a well-established manufacturing business based in\u00a0Roodepoort\u00a0is looking to appoint an experienced and hands-on\u00a0HR Manager\u00a0to lead their HR function.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThe HR Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing HR strategies that support the organisation’s overall business objectives while taking full ownership of the HR function.
\n\tThis role requires a hands-on leader with strong expertise in industrial relations, workforce planning, payroll oversight, and compliance with relevant labour legislation and bargaining council regulations.\u00a0
\n\tThe successful candidate will play an active role in guiding and developing the HR team, driving performance management processes, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.\u00a0
\n\tIn addition, the HR Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture, strengthening employee engagement across both office and operational teams, and supporting the overall effectiveness and growth of the organisation.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tTake ownership of the HR function, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, bargaining council regulations, OHS, Employment Equity, and BBBEE requirements.
\n\tLead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, training, and support to management and staff.
\n\tDrive recruitment, workforce planning, succession strategies, and performance management to meet business objectives.
\n\tOversee payroll, employee benefits, and HR processes with accuracy and compliance.
\n\tFoster a positive workplace culture, employee engagement, and alignment between office and operational teams.
\n\tImplement HR policies, provide practical HR advice, and monitor key metrics to support organisational effectiveness.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tRelevant 3-year qualification – Degree in Human Resources Management
\n\t3-5 years HR generalist experience
\n\tA sound knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, EE, Skills Development and BBBEE Act.
\n\tBe familiar with MEIBC
\n\tPrevious HR Management experience having worked within a manufacturing \/ plastics industry advantageous
\n\tPrevious experience implementing and setting up HR structures, as well as exposure to Industrial Relations in a Factory\/Plant environment an added advantage
\n\tPrevious experience assessing and drafting policies, procedures, job profile and performance appraisal framework in line with business agenda is preferred<\/p>\n
