Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tThe Key Account Manager will manage the relationship management with key principals to ensure accounts are retained and that day-to-day operational queries are managed effectively. To help grow business in the principal channel through expansion of services to customer base. To maintain profitability of key accounts, and drive supply chain efficiencies to the benefit of both the customer and Vector ensuring the establishment of long terms strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Set customer strategy<\/p>\n
\tSet strategy for individual customers based on group and customer objectives.
\n\tObtain sign off across the business on customer strategy.
\n\tImplement key KPI\u2019s in line with strategy.<\/p>\n
Relationship Management<\/p>\n
\tSet key KPIs for customers in line with business strategy.
\n\tReview customer KPIs monthly ensuring customer and Vector compliance to key KPIs.
\n\tDrive opportunities to build strategic partnerships through the identification of opportunities for collaboration.
\n\tManage internal business functions against agreed KPI\u2019s.
\n\tManage customer queries and concerns as and when they occur.<\/p>\n
Business Development<\/p>\n
\tIdentify opportunities for expansion within existing principals.
\n\tMatch Vector business capabilities to principals\u2019 needs through identifying service solutions.
\n\tGuide commercial discussions with team and negotiate commercial agreements.
\n\tImplement rate reviews and increases as and when needed to ensure management of principal profitability.<\/p>\n
Drive Supply Chain Efficiencies<\/p>\n
\tWork cross functionally with supply chain to deliver efficiencies through negotiation with customers on agreed efficiencies.
\n\tBuild relationships between Supply Chain and the customer to ensure that the customers Supply Chain is optimised.
\n\tActively drive the S&OP process with the principal to manage key cost drivers such as stock cover, SKU cover etc.<\/p>\n
Self-Management<\/p>\n
\tTake ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising, and self-development.
\n\tFollow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job<\/p>\n

\tMust have Matric (Grade 12).
\n\tBachelor\u2019s Degree or similar.
\n\t3 years account or general administration experience preferably in a FMCG environment.
\n\t5+ years supply chain experience.<\/p>\n
