ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tTo adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
\n\tTo create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tPlan, prepare and present interesting and exciting English lessons.
\n\tEstablish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
\n\tBehave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students\u2019 homework.
\n\tEvaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
\n\tBe open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
\n\tTeach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
\n\tProduce resources of a high standard for students.
\n\tRespond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
\n\tShow loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
\n\tAttend all special occasions at the discretion of the Head of School.
\n\tSet and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
\n\tWrite report comments.
\n\tThe post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head\/line manager determines.<\/p>\n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:<\/p>\n
Skills and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience with students in a school
\n\tConfidence with use of ICT in teaching<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Accreditations:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tUniversity degree in appropriate subject
\n\tCertified Teaching Status
\n\tAppropriate right to work
\n\tCurrent active SACE (membership up to date)<\/p>\n
