Specific Role Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tCarry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as set out by the Foreman.
\n\tCarry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed up vehicle servicing.
\n\tTake steps to ensure servicing of vehicle remains within the targeted percentages of the manufacturers’ time.
\n\tDiscuss matters with service advisors and customers as required and provide coherent explanations.
\n\tEnsure standards are maintained with regards to vehicle care and safety whilst performing functions.
\n\tEnsure vehicles are returned to the customer after service in a neat and clean condition.
\n\tComplete all necessary and relevant training as required by the OEM (online, classroom, other mediums of training) within reasonable time frames.
\n\tAdmin functions: Complete forms and documentation included in the company’s service routine.
\n\tDraft and prepare any reports required.
\n\tMentor apprentices, sign off logbooks and evaluate their technical ability (if applicable)
\n\tEnsure effective communication with team members and colleagues across departments, with customers and service providers.
\n\tParticipate in marketing campaigns when required for the furtherance of the business.
\n\tAny other duties as may reasonably be required.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tQualified Technician; minimum 3-5 years of experience after qualifying as a Technician is essential.
\n\tKIA technician experience will be of advantage
\n\tRelevant OEM product training – will be an advantage.
\n\tNeed excellent \u201cfix right first time\u201d track record.
\n\tCompetent at operating manufacturer diagnostic equipment\/ computer in order to access information required to perform the role and complete duties associated with the role.
\n\tMechanical insight Problem solving and motor vehicle fault finding skills.
\n\tMental alertness
\n\tMust have sound English communication and writing skills to accurately record findings and work on job cards.
\n\tMeticulous Customer orientated
\n\tTeam player and Interpersonal competence
\n\tDecision making and action orientated.
\n\tValid, unendorsed driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
