Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tTo plan and coordinate the hospital\u2019s Reception and Admissions function. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring an efficient and time sensitive admissions process in accordance with CHG standards.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 6 (Office Administration \/ Secretarial Courses)
\n\tComputer Literacy \u2013 SAP or similar.<\/p>\n
Minimum Experience:<\/p>\n
\t3 years experience in a similar environment.
\n\tPeople management experience is advantageous.
\n\tPrevious experience in a hospital is advantageous.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Added Advantage:<\/p>\n
\tManagerial Certification.<\/p>\n
DELIVERABLES:<\/p>\n
\tManage and coordinate all reception staff (hospital\/doctor), Switchboard Operator, Admissions Clerks, Porters and Drivers in an effective manner to ensure professional service delivery.
\n\tEnsure all reception \/ admissions activities are fully operation, legible and captured on SAP.
\n\tEngage with internal and external clients on documentation required for patient admissions, bed allocation, ward movements and discharge times, newborn registrations on medicals schemes and medical schemes suspension\/ decline of authorizations to obtain further information to ensure authorization.
\n\tManage financial risk, by ensuring the collection of co-payments and private patient estimates as per company policies and procedures.
\n\tEngage daily with the Finance team regarding banking according to the company cash management standards.
\n\tDrive eligibility checks in admissions.
\n\tEnsure completeness of documentation required for admission, for each patient.
\n\tEnsure any non-validated admissions are escalated and corrected on SAP.<\/p>\n
