Role Summary<\/p>\n
\tiqbusiness is seeking experienced Business Analysts for contract opportunities within the financial services sector, with a strong focus on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Conduct Risk initiatives.
\n\tThis role is suited to a Senior Business Analyst with deep exposure to risk, regulatory and compliance environments, particularly within Corporate and Investment Banking.
\n\tThe Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting regulatory\u2011driven change by translating conduct\u2011risk and governance obligations into clear, traceable business and functional requirements.
\n\tThe role requires a strong understanding of GRC business processes, risk and control frameworks, and the ability to identify control gaps while enabling compliant, sustainable solutions that support business objectives.
\n\tYou will work closely with business, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders across complex, multifaceted environments, contributing to high\u2011quality delivery outcomes within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDevelop an in\u2011depth understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), including Conduct Risk, Risk, Credit, and Compliance processes, systems, and data flows
\n\tTranslate regulatory and governance obligations into clear business, functional, and non\u2011functional requirements
\n\tIdentify risks, control gaps, and compliance impacts across end\u2011to\u2011end business processes
\n\tDefine, document, and optimise current\u2011 and future\u2011state processes for Risk and Credit, ensuring full end\u2011to\u2011end coverage
\n\tConduct impact assessments for new or changing requirements, analysing upstream and downstream dependencies
\n\tPerform gap analysis between current and target states, recommending process redesign and optimisation opportunities
\n\tProduce high\u2011quality analysis artefacts including BRS, user stories, use cases, data requirements, SOPs, and process flows
\n\tEnsure requirements traceability and alignment to governance, audit, and regulatory standards
\n\tSupport Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint management, sprint gate\u2011keeping, PI\/QBR planning, and close collaboration with Product Owners
\n\tCollaborate with Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications
\n\tSupport UAT planning, execution, defect management, and traceability from requirements to test cases
\n\tMaintain consistent documentation standards aligned with PMO, governance, and audit expectations
\n\tContribute to organisational change through training materials, communication plans, and business readiness activities
\n\tProactively identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses, recommending practical solutions
\n\tEngage internal and external stakeholders through workshops, requirements sessions, and ongoing communication
\n\tSupport vendor and procurement processes in line with organisational policies and legal requirements
\n\tAdhere to and contribute to PMO standards, producing required delivery and governance artefacts<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u201310 years\u2019 experience as a Business Analyst in complex, multifaceted financial services environments
\n\tStrong experience in Risk, Regulatory and Compliance, preferably within Corporate and Investment Banking
\n\tProven delivery experience on GRC or regulatory\u2011driven initiatives, including Conduct Risk
\n\tSolid understanding of governance frameworks (Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, or equivalent)
\n\tHands\u2011on experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
\n\tExtensive experience with backlog management, sprint and PI planning, and Product Owner engagement
\n\tStrong business analysis fundamentals aligned to BABOK and SDLC
\n\tAbility to manage ambiguity, complex dependencies, and challenging stakeholders
\n\tStrong stakeholder facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills
\n\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills
\n\tStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and conceptual thinking
\n\tExperience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and SQL for requirements and analysis<\/p>\n
