Main Duties:<\/p>\n
\tManagement of the SCM processes.
\n\tProvide guidance and direction on SCM matters to Umalusi management and employees.
\n\tDevelopment and Management of Umalusi\u2019s demand and procurement plan demand, acquisition and contract management.
\n\tMonitor performance against set targets.
\n\tMonthly and quarterly reporting on procurement activities and expenditure.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tManagement of the Central Supplier Database processes.
\n\tCoordination of requests and proposals from the various units.
\n\tEnsure compliance with procurement policy and Treasury Regulations.
\n\tEnsure all procurement within Umalusi comply with the relevant legislation (e.g. PFMA; PPPFA; PPPFA Regulations; BBBEE; National Treasury Instruction Notes, etc.)
\n\tKeep abreast of developments within the Public Sector on SCM matters.
\n\tDevelop and implement Supply Chain Management Policies and Procedures in line with the relevant legislation (e.g. PFMA; PPPFA; PPPFA Regulations; BBBEE; National Treasury Instruction Notes, etc.)
\n\tConduct SCM training to the staff.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t3-year post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management.
\n\tAt least 5 years of supervisory experience in Supply Chain Management. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Required Skills:<\/p>\n
\tExcellent writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise at all levels within a public entity.
\n\tComputer literacy with sound knowledge of the full MS Office suite.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Additional Advantage:<\/p>\n
\tPostgraduate qualification in Supply Chain and Procurement Management will be an added advantage.
\n\tExtensive knowledge of supply chain management in the Public Sector.
\n\tAbility to manage and oversee procurement and tendering processes.
\n\tKnowledge of legislation governing the procurement of goods and services in the Public Sector.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of the principles espoused by the PFMA; PPPFA; PPPFA Regulations; BBBEE.
\n\tGood stakeholder relations and willingness to work co-operatively in a team.<\/p>\n
