Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tNational Diploma in Fire Technology
\n\tCode C1 Driver’s licence with PrDP
\n\tPumper Driver\/Operator
\n\tAerial Operator
\n\tBLS Registration (as defined by HPCSA) with HPCSA OHS course
\n\t6 Years Experience of which two (2) years as Shift Commander\/ supervisory position<\/p>\n
OR<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tDiploma in Fire Technology (SAESI\/ IFE) Fire fighter I and II
\n\tCode EC Driver’s license with PrDP
\n\tDriver\/Operator(pumper\/aerial)
\n\tHazmat Technician
\n\tBLS registration (as defined by HPCSA) with HPCSA.
\n\tCertification to fill pressure vessels
\n\tPeace Officer, Basic Fire Prevention, Fire Investigation Course, OHS Rep Course
\n\t6 Years Experience of which two (2) years as Shift Commander\/ supervisory position<\/p>\n
Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPromote and implementation operational targets and objectives in the context of approved policy, processes, governance and delivery systems on station level.
\n\tManage activities at station level, ensuring quality of own work as well as station personnel and resources readiness, while minimising mistakes and continuously improve on quality and standards.
\n\tTo ensure effective and efficient service delivery to meet the service target
\n\tRespond immediately and safely to all emergency calls\/incidents
\n\tEnsure compliance with relevant statutory requirements
\n\tAdhere to Governance and Risk Management in terms of legislation, policies and procedures
\n\tTo ensure compliance with relevant Governance and financial statutory requirements
\n\tContinuous assessment of own performance, professional interaction and ethical dealing with stakeholders\/clients and co-workers
\n\tTo ensure efficient\/ effective service delivery and promote fair labour practice in compliance with statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
