\tTo lead and guide technical design and development across projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, code quality, and operational excellence.
\n\tThe role supports developers, collaborates with software architects, and ensures systems are robust, scalable, and secure.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Technical Leadership & Architecture<\/p>\n
\tDrive and document technical designs in collaboration with Software Architects.
\n\tEnsure alignment with FNB\u2019s architectural principles and governance standards.
\n\tMaintain system artifact repositories to reflect current architecture accurately.<\/p>\n
Development Support<\/p>\n
\tMentor and support developers in implementing best practices.
\n\tPromote consistent use of unit testing and test automation frameworks.
\n\tConduct code reviews with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.<\/p>\n
Incident & Production Support<\/p>\n
\tLead root cause investigations and propose design improvements.
\n\tProvide second-line support during production incidents and callouts.
\n\tParticipate in production log reviews and guide improvements.<\/p>\n
Deployment & Automation<\/p>\n
\tImplement and monitor quality gate checks in CI\/CD pipelines.
\n\tReview build gate reports and escalate issues to Technical Team Leads or Delivery Managers.<\/p>\n
Monitoring & Health Checks<\/p>\n
\tEnsure consistent monitoring implementations across systems.
\n\tEvaluate stress testing results and compare with production patterns.<\/p>\n
Security & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to FNB\u2019s security policies and compliance requirements.
\n\tAssist in scoping and remediation of penetration testing findings.
\n\tConduct vulnerability analysis and communicate risks and solutions.<\/p>\n
Governance & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tLead governance engagements and present technical decks within project timelines.
\n\tSupport technical design reviews to ensure compliance with FRB standards.<\/p>\n
Code Quality & Tooling<\/p>\n
\tEnforce code quality standards using tools like SonarQube.
\n\tReview pull requests for effective unit testing and code consistency.
\n\tIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance code quality.<\/p>\n
Knowledge Sharing<\/p>\n
\tActively mentor developers and promote knowledge sharing.
\n\tContribute to the development and support of internal technical productivity tools.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
\n\tRelevant certifications in Java, Architecture, or Cloud technologies are a plus.<\/p>\n
