Main Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tTo perform maintenance, repairs, installations and site support services across company facilities and client sites, including workshop-based duties, travel to various operational sites, container conversions woodworking and ensuring environmental compliance and responsible work practices.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tPerform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repairs (repair doors, locks, windows, roofing sheets, ceilings and fittings, patch, paint and maintain walls and structural surfaces.
\n\tConduct minor welding and fabrication repairs (if competent).
\n\tConstruct and install wooden structures such as shelving, office partitions, cupboards, storage units and workbenches.
\n\tRepair wooden doors, frames, skirting and roofing supports.
\n\tMeasure, cut, and assemble materials accurately according to specifications.
\n\tEnsure neat finishing and Professional workmanship.
\n\tTravel to various company and client sites as required and carry out on-site repairs, installation and maintenance.
\n\tAssist with breakdown support and urgent repair work.
\n\tEnsure safe transport of tools and materials.
\n\tConversion of shipping containers into site offices, storage units, workshops and ablution facilities.
\n\tInstall insulation, ceilings, partitioning, flooring, doors and fit windows, security gates and ventilation systems.
\n\tPerform structural modifications and reinforcements as required.
\n\tInstall electrical lighting and plug points (within legal compliance).
\n\tEnsure environmentally responsible disposal of waste materials.
\n\tSeparate scrap material (steel, wood, electrical waste) for recycling and minimise material wastage during projects.
\n\tPrevent oil spills, chemical contamination and environmental hazards and always maintain clean and safe work areas.
\n\tComply with environmental policies and site regulations.
\n\tConduct routine inspections of building and infrastructure and identify potential safety and environmental risks.
\n\tAssist with planned maintenance schedules.
\n\tAny other job-related duties as required from time to time.<\/p>\n

Preferred Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12.
\n\tQualified Artisan.
\n\t3-5 Years\u2019 experience in carpentry and container conversions is advantageous.
\n\tMust have basic electrical and welding knowledge.
\n\tPhysically fit and able to travel to various sites.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence.<\/p>\n
