REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tMatric Certificate plus an LLB Degree at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 8 as recognised by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA);\u00a0
\n\tThree (3) years\u2019 relevant experience in conducting compliance and monitoring activities preferably within a Regulator environment;\u00a0
\n\tTechnical and practical knowledge of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013; and\u00a0
\n\tAdmission as a Legal Practitioner will be an added advantage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and implement methods to improve efficiency and quality assessment;\u00a0
\n\tEnsure compliance with applicable protocols and prescribed Standard Operating Procedure;\u00a0
\n\tConducting of assessment in terms of section 89 POPIA;\u00a0
\n\tDrafting of assessment reports;\u00a0
\n\tReview and analyse submissions by responsible parties against the provisions of POPIA;
\n\tReceive and analyse all relevant admissible evidence as related to section 89 assessments;\u00a0
\n\tConduct assessments on responsible parties and provide guidance relating to the implementation of guidelines and SOPs on applications for prior authorisations; exemptions, personal information of children, special personal information and codes of conduct;\u00a0
\n\tPerform monitoring of compliance activities as assigned;\u00a0
\n\tDraft, submit and communicate the outcomes of an assessment in terms of section 91 of POPIA;\u00a0
\n\tLiaise directly with various internal and external stakeholders in the pursuit of ensuring compliance with POPIA;\u00a0
\n\tRespond to enquiries by the responsible parties; and\u00a0
\n\tPerform various other duties as may be determined from time to time by the Regulator.\u00a0<\/p>\n
