Responsibilities:

\n\tConduct trouble shooting<\/p>\n
Verification of results<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for the verification of results
\n\tInterpret data against known sources of information<\/p>\n
Technical improvements\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tImprove laboratory efficiency<\/p>\n
Adherence to turnaround times<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring adherence to departmental TAT\u2019s
\n\tEarly warnings to direct supervisor of any delay on TAT<\/p>\n
Instrument monitoring and maintenance<\/p>\n
\tOversee instrument operations
\n\tResponsible for the upkeep of laboratory instruments
\n\tCleaning and disinfection of equipment
\n\tNotification to management of calibration and service requests<\/p>\n
Organizational Health and Safety, and quality assurance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all analysis and related tasks are performed in accordance with OHS and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures
\n\tImplementation of quality TAT corrective actions for area of responsibility
\n\tMaintaining acceptable proficiency scores for work conducted<\/p>\n
Cost management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure correct stock levels are maintained effectively for testing<\/p>\n
Training and Development<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that laboratory required training courses are successfully completed
\n\tIdentify and motivate additional training requests to line manager for approval<\/p>\n
Client liaison<\/p>\n
\tEnsure good working relationships with internal clients<\/p>\n
General and Business Development<\/p>\n
\tUndertake all activities as per the required standards, policies and procedures
\n\tEnsure compliance with the requirements of AssureCloud\u2019s Quality System, brand, methodology and contribute to the development thereof when required
\n\tAdhere to the delegation of authority as per company policy
\n\tTimely completion of all reporting requirements and responses to any team member as required
\n\tEnsure all expenses are recorded and reported accurately and timeously and within budget
\n\tEnsure all IT tools provided by the company are utilized effectively and as required by company policy and procedure
\n\tEnsure effectiveness in day-to-day operations, in an organized and coordinated fashion at all times.
\n\tEnsure that all company standards and policies are met

Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Food Technology.
\n\tAdditional certifications in ISO 17025, GLP, or SANAS-accredited microbiology courses (advantageous).<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in food safety testing.
\n\tExperience with LIMS and sample registration processes (advantageous).
\n\tProven track record of working within ISO 17025 accredited environments.<\/p>\n
