Includes assistance with Unit reporting processes, organizing academic days, journal clubs etc.<\/p>\n<p>Core Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tPhD in Biomedical Science, Epidemiology or Public Health<br \/>\n\tMinimum of six years post PhD experience in a research environment related to TB and HIV research.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0A minimum of 10 years\u2019 project management experience, including 3 years in a leadership role in TB and HIV treatment studies trials which involved research staff management.<br \/>\n\tRecord of 30 lifetime publications (ISI journal articles, editorials or book chapters and technical reports) with at least 9 as first\/senior author.<br \/>\n\tRecord of successful income generation\/grant application of = R5 mil-lifetime.<br \/>\n\tNRF (C or above) rated OR evidence of international recognition in a focal area within field of research.<br \/>\n\tSuccessfully supervised =8 post-graduate students, including Hon\/Masters\/PhD, to completion.<br \/>\n\tMembership of national and international bodies\/committees.<br \/>\n\tA track record of working effectively with relevant government departments, national and international partners, funders and other stakeholders.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Evidence of research translation efforts and international leadership in the field.<br \/>\n\tExcellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.<br \/>\n\tWorking knowledge of statistics.<br \/>\n\tCode 08 Manual Driver license.<\/p>\n<p>Advantageous:<\/p>\n<p>\tPersonal invitations(s) to serve on national and at least 1 international bodies\/committees.<br \/>\n\tMedical degree, with experience in managing HIV \/ TB.<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 2 years\u2019 experience engaged in teaching or training.<br \/>\n\tUniversity affiliation at associate or full Professorial level.<\/p>\n<p>Closing Date:<\/p>\n<p>31 March 2026<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.mrc.ac.za\/ ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC)","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.mrc.ac.za\/","_company_tagline":"The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) was established in 1969 with the aim to deliver on a mandate to promote the improvement of the health and the quality of life of the population of our country through research, development and technology transfer.
