ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\u00a0<\/p>\n
Enterprise Risk Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the risk processes are applied uniformly across the MICT SETA and correct deviations.\u00a0
\n\tRecommend a protocol of risk management oversight in the MICT SETA\u00a0
\n\tContribute towards the risk culture positioning and drive initiatives towards an ideal risk culture.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain a \u201cCompliance Calendar\u201d indicating the expected timelines of compliance related processes and the anticipated submission date of evidence output.\u00a0
\n\tImplement the risk appetite framework and combined assurance model.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor the strategic, operational and projects risk profiles, including risk support to management, risk awareness and assessment of adequacy and effectiveness of risk mitigations\/controls.\u00a0
\n\tProvide support in risk management\u2019s administration.\u00a0
\n\tCompile, assess and report risk information to management and the risk management committee.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor the Risk Register, analyse the quarterly audit reports and any potential changes in the environment which affect the risk profile.\u00a0
\n\tFacilitate the management of risks emanating from strategic and operational activities.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure effective and efficient business unit records management.\u00a0
\n\tFacilitate the implementation of risk management systems across business units.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure the effective use of the Enterprise Risk Management system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Governance, Risk, and Compliance\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProvide input into Enterprise Risk Management policies, procedures, forms and process flows.\u00a0
\n\tImplement the risk management policy framework as it relates to risk management, business continuity management, compliance, and ethics.\u00a0
\n\tCo-ordinate and manage the policy attestation requirements for all risk policies and report the results to management.\u00a0
\n\tEstablish, monitor, and improve the risk governance structure and reporting requirements MICT SETA wide and at various levels within the organisation.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor policies and procedures for appropriate risk measures.\u00a0
\n\tCompile risk compliance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.\u00a0
\n\tBe aware of governance control processes and role segregation requirements in area of accountability.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare quarterly report on the status of Risk mitigation plans.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Policies, Procedures, and related Acts.\u00a0
\n\tProvide the internal and external auditors with necessary documentation timeously.\u00a0
\n\tAnalyse and report on adherence to Policy, Standards and Governance Frame work across the organisation.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that appropriate control measures are introduced to address matters raised in audit findings.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that completed work adheres to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations & discrepancies.\u00a0
\n\tFacilitate and implement Enterprise Risk Management workshops.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure correct application of policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Client & Stakeholder Engagement\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPromote a Risk Management culture within the organization through risk workshops and awareness sessions.\u00a0
\n\tManage colleagues\u2019 expectations and communicate appropriately.\u00a0
\n\tConduct Enterprise Risk Management Systems training.\u00a0
\n\tInvestigate and coordinate responses to queries and issues, implementing action plans for gaps identified and finalising reports.\u00a0
\n\tPromptly and attentively respond to customer requests and queries within established parameters and timeframes.\u00a0
\n\tDrive the risk and compliance processes and solutions with external and internal customers and stakeholders.\u00a0
\n\tWork closely with key stakeholders to provide risk and compliance insights to drive performance.
\n\tManage stakeholder expectations and objections and maintain ongoing relationships.\u00a0
\n\tManage short term and long-term stakeholder objectives and be able to respond to short term needs without damaging the long-term delivery requirements.\u00a0
\n\tInform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.\u00a0
\n\tConduct induction and training workshops as and when needed.\u00a0
\n\tLiaise with internal and external stakeholders.\u00a0
\n\tProvide training and promote advocacy of risk management, compliance management, business continuity management, and fraud management.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tManage an effective and cohesive team through the effective management of resources.\u00a0
\n\tContribute towards the implementation of talent acquisition, succession planning, development, and retention strategies for the unit.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure the enhancement of relevant knowledge and skills through continuous coaching, mentoring, and nurturing of talent in the unit.\u00a0
\n\tContribute towards a high-performance culture and manage team performance effectively by translating and communicating the annual performance goals and measures into individual work plans based on agreed upon objectives.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure the working environment contributes to improving employee engagement, recognition, and increased productivity.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure the management of poor performance and disciplinary matters in line with the MICT\u2019s policies and procedures.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
