A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for a Training Captain. Reporting to the People Capability Leader, the Training Captain will be responsible for evaluating training needs and current practices in-store and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. He\/she will be responsible for improving operational performance of all Team Members. He\/she will ensure competently trained CSTMs and FSTMs within set deadlines and will also conduct observation checklists and complete assessments on Team Members to identify gaps.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tConducts Restaurant Orientation ono the starting date of each new team member or facilitates the Orientation, in-store, via the Learning Zone.
\n\tTrain, coaches and certifies Team Members
\n\tCompletes training evaluations to assess the retention of knowledge
\n\tResponsible for delivery of training to bridge performance gaps
\n\tFacilitates New Product Training as per the KFC marketing calendar
\n\tBiannual assessments for all employees must be done to re-assess knowledge.
\n\tAssess additional training needs of restaurant and discuss with the Training Manager and\/or RGM.
\n\tLearner Assessments completed on every Team Member twice a year.
\n\tTrack and report on training outcomes
\n\tProvide feedback to programme participants and management, where applicable
\n\tEvaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology, as and when required.
\n\tMaintain employee training records.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tPresentation skills and written communication as well as oral communication skills.
\n\tIncumbent must possess an understanding of the learning process as applied to in-store training.
\n\tAbility to require knowledge of and handle participative training techniques as used in the KFC system.
\n\tPlanning and Organizing \u2013 The capacity to arrange the availability and allocation of resources, the utilization of control systems as well.
\n\tas the delegation and co-ordination of tasks and duties of individuals and groups. To plan, prioritize and systemize the action in line with required resources.
\n\tCoaching \u2013 The capacity to develop followers by providing them with clear and simple instructions, demonstrations, and explanations and systematically exposing them to planned but increasingly challenging tasks.<\/p>\n
