Duties<\/p>\n
\tThe Local Guard Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the local guard program for U.S. Government facilities under Chief of Mission authority. This role provides first-line oversight of guard contracts, personnel, and resources, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness. Working closely with the Regional Security Officer (RSO) or Assistant RSO, the Coordinator plays a key role in security planning, contract administration, and resource management to maintain the safety and security of all mission facilities<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Contract Administration\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManage all aspects of the local guard contract, including compliance and performance.
\n\tAssist with annual budget planning, justification statements, and official documentation.
\n\tMonitor budget execution and recommend adjustments based on spending trends, economic changes, and funding levels.<\/p>\n
Guard Oversight\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupervise approximately 130 local guards across official facilities, residences, and mobile patrols.
\n\tReview schedules, timesheets, and contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
\n\tIdentify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Training Support\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all guards receive initial and annual refresher training.
\n\tOversee training on emergency response, explosive detection, and specialized equipment use.<\/p>\n
Inventory & Equipment Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and track security equipment and supplies.
\n\tCoordinate maintenance and conduct biannual inventories to ensure operational readiness.<\/p>\n
Liaison & Coordination\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBuild and maintain relationships with host-nation security officials and local security professionals.
\n\tSupport coordination for security planning and drills.<\/p>\n
Emergency Response\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and coordinate joint response plans and exercises with host security forces.
\n\tMay require travel to other locations as needed.<\/p>\n
Additional Duties: Other tasks may be assigned as required by the agency.<\/p>\n

\nRequirements:<\/p>\n
\tAll selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a SBU security clearance.\u00a0
\n\tAll selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam. \u00a0
\n\tSelected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 12 weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and\/or clearances\/certifications or their candidacy may end.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\nExperience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial security, guard services, civilian or government police, or military.
\n\tExperience with contract administration, budgeting, or fiscal processes is required.
\n\tAt least one (1) year of supervisory experience is required.<\/p>\n
