Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
\tReporting to the Senior Analyst: Corporate Actuarial, the Analyst: Corporate Actuarial is responsible to support the Manager to manage and provide actuarial service advice to the RAF business.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
Valuation of outstanding claims provisions.<\/p>\n
\tAssist in valuation of outstanding claims provisions.
\n\tAssist with producing the valuation report.<\/p>\n
Development and management of Funding Model<\/p>\n
\tAssist development and management of Funding Model.
\n\tData manipulation to state of quotation of loss of earnings or loss of support benefits \u2013 especially the model input.
\n\tRunning model and reporting on results<\/p>\n
Accident data management and forecasting<\/p>\n
\tAssist in accident data capturing, analysis and reporting from different sources.
\n\tAssist in developing models to forecast the number of accidents.
\n\tAssist in producing the accident forecasting report.<\/p>\n
Loss of income calculations<\/p>\n
\tAssisting with calculations and checking the quotation results actuarially for reasonability<\/p>\n
Assist with monthly claims statistics for regions and management<\/p>\n
\tExtracting data and data reports from IT claim system(s).
\n\tAssist with report compilations as and when required
\n\tAd hoc reinsurance and actuarial work
\n\tMonthly statistics for reporting
\n\tAssist with report compilations as and when required<\/p>\n
Assist with Actuarial reports to FSB<\/p>\n
\tAssist with FSB Actuarial reports.
\n\tAssist management with calculations.<\/p>\n
Actuarial investigations<\/p>\n
\tAssist with investigating the mortality and morbidity experience to help in setting the quotation of loss of earnings and loss of support benefits, statistical and regression analysis.
\n\tCalculate reinsurance recoveries based on treaty terms<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tAid in the maintenance of functional reporting systems, for management, project or performance reporting.
\n\tEnsure regular and periodic reports are sent to the Senior Analyst for review and submitted as and when required to provide progress updates and\/or inform management decisions.
\n\tMaintenance and storage of proposals, briefings, presentations, reports, and other documentation and providing management information both verbally and in report format.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder management<\/p>\n
\tAssist Assist with maintaining proactive and progressive relationships with key stakeholders.
\n\tAssist with inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders.
\n\tEffective stakeholder management.
\n\tAid in the maintenance of relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on time.
\n\tAssist with presentation of data findings in an easy-to-read and understood format.<\/p>\n

\tResearch industry best practice\/innovations and identify where technology can be utilised in systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree\/Advanced Diploma in Actuarial Science\/ Mathematics\/ Investment Management\/ Risk Management related qualification.
\n\tRelevant 4 years\u2019 experience in an Actuarial environment.<\/p>\n
