About the role:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring end-to-end inventory accuracy and control within the inbound warehouse to support uninterrupted production.
\n\tThe role manages all system and physical stock movements, ensuring materials are received, stored, issued, and reconciled accurately in SAP while maintaining compliance with company governance, quality standards, and inventory control procedures.
\n\tOperating within a 24\/7 shift-based production environment, the Stock Controller plays a critical role in ensuring materials are available to production at the right time, in the right quantity, and with full system integrity.
\n\tThis is a hands-on operational role requiring strong system discipline, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving. The position offers a strong development pathway toward warehouse leadership roles.<\/p>\n
Role Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Inventory Accuracy & Control<\/p>\n
\tMaintain accurate real-time inventory records in SAP for all inbound warehouse materials including raw materials, packaging, consumables, and finished goods.
\n\tEnsure all stock movements are correctly captured and validated in SAP (receipts, transfers, issues, adjustments, returns).
\n\tMonitor stock levels and ensure system stock always aligns with physical inventory.
\n\tMaintain strict adherence to inventory governance, SOPs, and internal controls.
\n\tEnsure correct batch\/lot control, traceability, and stock status management.
\n\tIdentify risks to stock integrity and implement preventative controls.<\/p>\n
Production Material Issuing<\/p>\n
\tIssue materials to production in line with the production plan and shift requirements.
\n\tEnsure timely availability of materials to prevent production stoppages or line disruptions.
\n\tValidate material requests against production orders in SAP.
\n\tConfirm correct material, batch, quantity, and storage location during issuing.
\n\tWork closely with production and warehouse operators to ensure accurate and efficient material flow.<\/p>\n
Goods Receipt (GR) Management<\/p>\n
\tPerform and validate SAP goods receipt transactions for inbound materials.
\n\tEnsure received goods match purchase orders, delivery documentation, and physical quantities.
\n\tConfirm that all goods receipts meet quality inspection requirements before release to stock.<\/p>\n
Work closely with procurement, quality, and suppliers to resolve GR discrepancies, including:<\/p>\n
\tQuantity variances
\n\tDamaged goods
\n\tMissing documentation
\n\tNon-conforming materials
\n\tEnsure timely posting of receipts to maintain accurate inventory visibility.<\/p>\n
Stock Reconciliation & Variance Management<\/p>\n
\tConduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations between physical inventory and SAP records.
\n\tExecute cycle counting programs in line with inventory control procedures.
\n\tInvestigate all stock discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
\n\tImplement corrective actions to prevent repeat errors.
\n\tEscalate significant inventory variances through appropriate governance channels.
\n\tMaintain detailed documentation of investigations, adjustments, and corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Warehouse System & Data Integrity<\/p>\n
\tMaintain high levels of SAP transactional accuracy and discipline.
\n\tEnsure all stock transactions are completed in real time.
\n\tSupport system-based stock control processes including:
\n\tBin\/location management
\n\tBatch tracking
\n\tInventory adjustments
\n\tProduction consumption postings
\n\tAssist in system audits and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.<\/p>\n
Operational Coordination<\/p>\n
\tAct as a key link between warehouse operations, production, procurement, and quality teams.
\n\tCommunicate proactively regarding:
\n\tMaterial shortages
\n\tStock anomalies
\n\tDelivery delays
\n\tProduction supply risks
\n\tSupport inbound logistics planning and warehouse execution.
\n\tAssist with coordination of co-packers, suppliers, and inbound deliveries where required.<\/p>\n
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence<\/p>\n
\tIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, stock accuracy, and material flow.
\n\tSupport initiatives related to:
\n\tInventory reduction
\n\tProcess standardization
\n\tWarehouse efficiency improvements
\n\tWaste reduction
\n\tContribute to root cause problem solving and corrective action implementation.
\n\tLead and support the forklift drivers to effectively deliver as per production plans in accordance with the set KPI\u2019s\u202f<\/p>\n
Experience \/ skills required:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Essential<\/p>\n
\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or materials management within FMCG, manufacturing, or high-volume distribution environments
\n\tRelevant degree\/diploma, preferably in the field of Supply Chain Management.\u00a0
\n\tExperience working with ERP\/WMS systems (SAP strongly preferred)
\n\tStrong understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse operations
\n\tExperience conducting cycle counts and high-volume stock reconciliations
\n\tAbility to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and system issues
\n\tStrong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
\n\tGood Excel and computer literacy<\/p>\n
