\tAs a Senior Android Engineer at Rapid Deploy, you will have the hands-on opportunity to work in tandem with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality and robust solutions in an Agile environment.
\n\tIn addition to the requirements below, successful candidates and team members will share a passion for high-quality software, strong engineering principles, and methodical problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
Basic Requirements
\nCandidate Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBSc Computer Science\/Information Systems OR equivalent experience
\n\tMinimum 5 years Android development experience
\n\tPractical experience with Jetpack Compose
\n\tPractical experience of software engineering methodologies
\n\tExperienced in writing testable code
\n\tUnderstanding of Material Design Principles and interface guidelines
\n\tParticipated in full SDLC’s with a demonstrated knowledge of analysis and design for software solutions
\n\tExperience in setting up and maintaining all aspects of the Google Play Console
\n\tPractical experience with any of the following technologies are highly advantageous:
\n\tLocation services
\n\tAuthentication
\n\tMap services
\n\tReal-time communication
\n\tCoroutines
\n\tHILT<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tProficient in Kotlin, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
\n\tGood understanding of the internet, networking and common protocols
\n\tGood knowledge of multi-threading, data structures, OOP, Design Patterns, and Web services
\n\tAble to create and has practical experience with testing, automation frameworks, and techniques
\n\tGood awareness of application performance impacts and security risks
\n\tAble to follow and improve coding standards
\n\tAble to identify problem areas, bad practices, and impractical solutions, and raise issues with the team early
\n\tAble to create and has practical experience with testing, CI\/CD frameworks, and techniques
\n\tAbility to mentor Juniors\/Intermediate Android Developers<\/p>\n
