\nThe Generic Management qualification at NQF Level 5 is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and applied competence. It is aligned with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and Key objectives include:<\/p>\n
\tSkill Development\u2013Equip unemployed individuals with basic or generic workplace skills that are widely applicable across industries (e.g., communication, teamwork, problem-solving).
\n\tCareer Guidance \u2013 Help learners identify career paths, set goals, and understand job market demands.
\n\tJob Readiness \u2013 Improve employability, including CV writing, interview skills, and workplace etiquette.
\n\tMotivation and Confidence \u2013 Build self-efficacy and motivation to actively seek and sustain employment.<\/p>\n
PURPOSE OF QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
The focus of this qualification is to enable learners to develop competence in a range of knowledge, skills, attitudes,and values, including:<\/p>\n
\tInitiating, developing, implementing, evaluating operational strategies, projects, and action plans, and where\u00a0appropriate, recommending change within teams and\/or the unit to improve the effectiveness of the unit.
\n\tMonitoring and measuring performance and applying continuous or innovative improvement interventions in the unit\u00a0in order to attain its desired outcomes, including customer satisfaction, and thereby contributing towards the\u00a0achievement of the objectives and vision of the entity.
\n\tLeading a first-line manager by capitalising on the talents of the team members and promoting synergistic\u00a0interaction between individuals and teams, to enhance individual, team and unit effectiveness to achieve the goals\u00a0of the entity.
\n\tBuilding relationships using communication processes both vertically and horizontally within the unit, with superiors\u00a0and with stakeholders across the value chain to ensure the achievement of intended outcomes.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tUnemployed candidates between the ages of 18 and 35 who are in possession of a Matric (Grade 12) certificate
\n\tSouth African citizenship with no criminal record
\n\tWillingness to undergo written assessment tests and\/or interviews as part of the selection process.<\/p>\n
