\n\tWe are seeking an experienced\u00a0Economic Development Manager\u00a0to ensure compliance with REIPPP and Implementation Agreement obligations, drive impactful economic and socio-economic development strategies, and build strong stakeholder relationships across Ngodwana and the surrounding region.<\/p>\n
As ED Manager, you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
Strategy, Planning and Management<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse community needs, challenges, and priorities
\n\tDevelop ED strategies aligned to business objectives and regional needs
\n\tMonitor compliance with IA economic development obligations
\n\tDevelop and track ED scorecards, trends, and performance against targets
\n\tOptimise strategies and processes to support business performance
\n\tPrepare reports and presentations with insights and recommendations
\n\tSet project objectives, budgets, and timelines with management
\n\tReview and improve ED processes, tools, and methods<\/p>\n

Community and Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tManage community relationships and stakeholder expectations
\n\tCo-develop the Economic Development plan with internal and community stakeholders
\n\tEngage stakeholders regularly to monitor progress and review plans annually
\n\tManage stakeholder expectations and participate in engagement forums
\n\tSupport local procurement and SME participation
\n\tIdentify stakeholder risks and implement mitigation strategies<\/p>\n
Project Management<\/p>\n
\tConduct needs analysis and compile progress reports with stakeholders
\n\tDevelop and implement approved SED and ED initiatives
\n\tCollate monthly reporting data and supporting evidence
\n\tPrepare reports for IPP Office, lenders, and board
\n\tEnsure compliance with IA, PPA, and regulations
\n\tStay updated on legislative and industry changes
\n\tRespond to IPPO queries and requests
\n\tPrepare and manage the Annual ED Plan
\n\tCollaborate with project managers during key project phases
\n\tOversee project delivery within scope, time, and budget
\n\tManage annual ED audits and resolve audit queries
\n\tCompile BBBEE verification evidence<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Social Sciences\/Development Studies (postgraduate preferred)
\n\t5+ years\u2019 ED experience (3+ years in SA renewable energy industry preferred)
\n\tManagement\/supervisory experience advantageous
\n\tStrong knowledge of REIPPP, ED scorecards, and best practices
\n\tProven project management, monitoring & evaluation, and stakeholder engagement skills
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence & own reliable vehicle<\/p>\n
