\tA position for Instrumentation Artisan has become available within the Maintenance Department at BTT Richards Bay.
\n\tThe main purpose of the job is to plan and execute daily instrumentation work to provide an effective and efficient instrumentation service to all BTT site. The incumbent will also report frequently on instrumentation & electrical breakdowns, preventative maintenance adherence and condition of assets to ensure BTT obtains a productive maintenance department. To keep equipment availability and reliability at 100%, whilst keeping all registers and legal documentation up to date.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
\tBasic Computer knowledge
\n\tKnowledge of ISO standards
\n\tSupervisory or work team leading experience
\n\tGood people\/ Engineering customer service skills
\n\tGood communication skills, both verbal and written.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMatric or NTC3
\n\tQualified Instrument Mechanic \u2013 trade tested
\n\t5 years\u2019 instrumentation experience
\n\tExperience in PLC and Scada systems<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAttend to instrumentation breakdowns daily
\n\tPerform instrumentation\/PLC\/electrical fault-finding
\n\tPlan and prioritize daily work using SAP system
\n\tConduct all legal and statutory inspections on all instrumentation equipment available in the plant
\n\tRepair to locomotives electrical systems
\n\tMaintain all deluge instrumentation systems
\n\tAssist in controlling a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to maintain company assets within specification and to maintain equipment availability
\n\tBe available for electrical\/instrumentation standby as per department schedule
\n\tTrain and Supervise Artisan Assistants as required<\/p>\n
