A established and growing automotive parts business is looking for a Financial Manager to own the finance function, lead a small team, and keep a fast-moving operation running cleanly and accurately. \u00a0This is an established position within a growing automotive parts distributor, a company that has been trading for just over three years and is firmly in growth mode. The finance team of four reports directly to this role, and the head office provides strong operational and accounting support, meaning this person can focus on running the day-to-day finance function with confidence.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Accounting (minimum)
\n\tMinimum 3 years in a similar FM or senior finance role
\n\tExperience in a stock\/inventory or product sales business is essential
\n\tStrong Excel, high accuracy, ability to work independently to deadlines
\n\tAssertive, structured, solutions-oriented, excellent communicator
\n\tAutomotive experience is advantageous but not required<\/p>\n
What you will be responsible for:
\nFinance & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tOversee income statements and ensure all transactions are accurately captured
\n\tPrepare monthly forecasts
\n\tManage daily and monthly cash flow needs
\n\tReview and reconcile credit card spend
\n\tDaily bank statement review<\/p>\n
Reconciliations & Controls<\/p>\n
\tDaily reconciliation of Salesforce vs ERP ensuring the two systems balance
\n\tReview, verify, and authorise COD creditor reconciliations
\n\tPrepare and review term creditor reconciliations
\n\tReconcile and review panel shop debtor accounts; issue weekly statements
\n\tEnsure all cashbooks are allocated on a daily basis
\n\tReview Requests for Payment (RFPs) and act as a second reviewer in a 4-step approval process
\n\tProcess, evaluate, and approve\/reject Requests for Credit (RFCs)
\n\tReview and request approval of capital expenditure requests
\n\tTrack second-hand goods, suppliers
\n\tEnsure all supporting documents are in place before transactions are captured<\/p>\n
People & Operations<\/p>\n
\tManage and direct 4 finance staff, provide daily structure, prioritisation, and guidance
\n\tMonitor debtor and creditor accounts; ensure timely collections and payments
\n\tEngage directly with the sales team to resolve outstanding debtor queries
\n\tManage the admin department processes and ensure procedures are followed
\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n
