Main Focus Areas<\/p>\n
\tThe Group is committed to creating places of healing for their communities, focused on attracting the best expertise and dedicated to building a steadfast, devoted team. The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctors in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome. The incumbent will further be required to assist the \u00a0Unit staff and the Unit Manager.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tAnswers the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
\n\tEnsure all new admissions are on the patient’s name board with the time and date.
\n\tEnsure the patient receives a ward information form
\n\tPlace the required stickers in the bulletin book
\n\tEnsure suitable arrangements are made with the ward that patient is being transferred to or from
\n\tDischarges may only occur once the Doctor has given his consent in writing
\n\tAssist with staff shift planning in the ward if required
\n\tComplete and update \u201cMonthly Register\u201d for learners
\n\tEnsure all billing is up to date<\/p>\n
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
\n\t2-3 years\u2019 experience in a secretarial position\/Hospital experience
\n\tComputer Literacy
\n\tFlexible working hours
\n\tStock management in a Healthcare environment essential<\/p>\n
