The Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) is a statutory Quality Council which quality assures education provision in General and Further Education and Training.<\/p>\n
Job Description
\nMain Duties:<\/p>\n
\tMonitor the implementation of quality assurance of assessment and examination policies and regulations to ensure credibility of the GETC: ABET qualification Coordinate the moderation of examination question papers.
\n\tCoordinate the moderation of the Site-Based Assessment (SBA) Tasks and SBA Portfolios.
\n\tCoordinate the standardisation of marking guidelines and the verification of marking for all examination cycles.
\n\tDevelop reports on all the quality assurance of assessment processes.
\n\tBuild and maintain stakeholder relationships in the AET sector.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nRequirements:<\/p>\n
\tA recognised 3-4 year post-matric qualification in education with specialisation in assessment and curriculum.
\n\tAt least 3-5 years\u2019 experience in the adult education and training sector.
\n\t3 year managerial experience in education.
\n\tExtensive knowledge of and insight into policies, legislation relating to, and latest developments in the Adult Education and Training (AET) sector knowledge and understanding of Umalusi legislative mandate.
\n\tExperience in teaching and assessment of the GETC: ABET qualification knowledge and experience in the quality assurance processes and the national examinations and assessment practices.
\n\tComputer literacy.
\n\tA valid driver\u2019s licence.
\n\tSACE registration.<\/p>\n
Required Skills:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of quality assurance in the AET sector.
\n\tPresent good quality work, be self-managing and a team player.
\n\tPossess good communication, project management, planning, execution, technical, report writing, good interpersonal, facilitation, and coordination, as well as computer skills.<\/p>\n
