The Senior Superintendent Electrical will:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure electricity supply to customers at all times.\u00a0
\n\tIdentify and isolate sources of interference with electricity supply.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure load distribution in system is correct at all times.\u00a0
\n\tNotify all customers when Eskom declare power emergency.\u00a0
\n\tSchedule planned maintenance \u2013 liaise with customers to ensure production is not affected.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure maintenance of electrical infrastructure is in accordance with maintenance program in order to limit breakdowns and shuts.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure inspections of new installations are carried out in accordance with SABS Code of practice.\u00a0
\n\tVerify compliance certificate for all electrical installations before installation is connected to the supply.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure equipment maintenance is in accordance with manufacturer\u2019s specifications.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor adherence to substation maintenance program.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure sub \u2013 ordinates are aware of and are using all appropriate safety equipment.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor and ensure adherence to all safety legislation (OHSA)\u00a0
\n\tEnsure installation of identified approved equipment to make system safe and cost effective.\u00a0
\n\tReceive, investigate and solve accounting problems.\u00a0
\n\tRecommend resolutions to accounting problems to administration \/ Finance departments.\u00a0
\n\tCompile monthly reports on customer meter readings.\u00a0
\n\tManage the capturing of meter readings onto debtor database for account purposes.\u00a0
\n\tCompile department\u2019s annual budgets for meeting operational and capital requirements.\u00a0
\n\tImplement and monitor approved budgets on monthly basis.\u00a0
\n\tCompile submissions for capital items and transformer maintenance.\u00a0
\n\tSet key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel and processes within the department.\u00a0
\n\tDefine and adjust the role boundaries, workflow process and job designs against established service delivery requirements and statutory regulations.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare and\/or approve progress and assessment reports for inclusion into the consolidated skills development plan of the department.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Electrical engineering (Heavy current) (MinimumN6\/T3 or S4)\u00a0
\n\tWireman\u2019s Licence (Certified required)\u00a0
\n\tMW \u2013 HV Switching course (A valid certificate is required)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t5 years managerial experience.\u00a0
\n\t5 years supervisory role experience.\u00a0
\n\tMaintenance and switching experience up to 132KV\u00a0<\/p>\n
