Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThe Tyre Coordinator is responsible for executing routine tyre maintenance, breakdown support, tyre surveys, and stock control across the fleet. The role requires travelling to various operational sites to ensure optimal tyre performance, compliance with safety standards, and accurate reporting within the tyre management system.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nTyre Surveys<\/p>\n
\tTravel to operational sites as required
\n\tPrioritise vehicle Tyre survey and maintenance by working of the fleet list provided by your supervisor
\n\tConduct tyre surveys according to the fleet list provided by the Supervisor
\n\tCapture accurate data on the Intasect Tyre Management System via handheld tablet (or manual documentation when offline), including: Brand numbers, Wheel positions, Tyre pressures and Tread depth readings
\n\tEnsure all fleet vehicles are surveyed monthly, and tyre pressures are corrected accordingly
\n\tEnsure that spare wheels are also surveyed, and report back to supervisor on missing spare wheels
\n\tMark spare wheel rims with red paint for identification purposes
\n\tEnsure wheel nuts are correctly torqued and fitted with securing indicators
\n\tFit wheel nut indicators were missing
\n\tPhotograph scrap tyre on handheld and submit images to the Supervisor
\n\tProvide daily feedback to the Supervisor regarding surveyed vehicles, identified tyre issues, outstanding vehicles, and productivity levels
\n\tEnsure to meet daily tyre survey target set by Management<\/p>\n
Stock<\/p>\n
\tEnsure Tyre stock is locked and secured at all times
\n\tAssist with daily investigation and reporting of stock discrepancies
\n\tAssist with monthly cycle counts<\/p>\n
Branding of Tyres<\/p>\n
\tIdentify Tyres without brand numbers and report to the Supervisor
\n\tBrand Tyres according to the approved listing provided<\/p>\n
Tyre Replacement<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and replace worn, punctured or damaged tyres in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure and Company Policy
\n\tComplete tyre change slips accurately and timelessly
\n\tSubmit tyre change slips daily to your supervisor<\/p>\n
Tyre Rotations<\/p>\n
\tPerform tyres rotations in line with thread matching guidelines
\n\tComplete tyre change slips accurately and timelessly
\n\tSubmit tyre change slips daily to your supervisor<\/p>\n
Breakdowns<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the breakdown support vehicle is loaded with the correct size and quantity of tyres required for the said breakdown prior to dispatch
\n\tRespond promptly to tyre-related breakdowns
\n\tHandle breakdowns with urgency, while adhering to South African Road Regulations and company driving policies
\n\tComplete breakdown reports and tyre change slips for removed and fitted tyres
\n\tReturn damaged or punctured tyres back to depot and ensure the tyres change slips are handed over to the Supervisor<\/p>\n
Company Equipment and Assets<\/p>\n
\tSecure tyre maintenance handheld devices(tablets) are locked away, in a safe place when not in use and at the end of your shift
\n\tVehicle checklists must be conducted daily and submitted to your supervisor for filing
\n\tEnsure that vehicles are parked and locked when not in use
\n\tEnsure vehicle keys are handed to your supervisor and locked away in a safe after every shift
\n\tReport all vehicle accidents and damages to the Supervisor
\n\tEnsure that all tools and equipment are always in working order
\n\tSubmit weekly Tyre Bay tool check list to the supervisor
\n\tReport defective tools to the Supervisor promptly<\/p>\n
Housekeeping<\/p>\n
\tMaintain a clean and organised work area and company vehicle at all times.<\/p>\n
Health and Safety<\/p>\n
\tEnsure colleague\u2019s health and safety are kept in mind when performing functions
\n\tReport hazards, near misses, incidents and safety concerns immediately
\n\tComply fully with all health and safety regulations
\n\tEnsure the correct PPE is used at all times<\/p>\n
General<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that you adhere to all company procedures and policies in respect of:
\n\tSOP\u2019s and Training.

\n\tPOPIA Policies
\n\tDress Code
\n\tSmoking
\n\tAttendance
\n\tProvide support for additional operational requirements as needed
\n\tWeekend work may be required from time to time<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric)
\n\tCode B Driver\u2019s license
\n\t3 years+ heavy duty tyre maintenance experience<\/p>\n
Skills Requirements<\/p>\n
\tStrong tyre handling and maintenance capability
\n\tSound administrative and record-keeping skills
\n\tEffective stock control execution
\n\tStrong time management and planning ability
\n\tHazard identification and risk awareness
