\tA senior Certificate (Grade 12 Matric)

\tCompTIA A+\u00a0or\u00a0CompTIA Network+\u00a0or\u00a0IT technical qualification at NQF 4\u00a0or\u00a0Engineering
\n\tITIL v3\u00a0or\u00a0ITIL 4 Foundation
\n\tWorking at Heights certificate
\n\tA valid driver\u2019s license and own vehicle.<\/p>\n
This role will require occasional after-hours or weekend work during security incidents.<\/p>\n

\tCisco Systems CCNA Certification
\n\tCertified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)
\n\tElectrical Trade Test
\n\tMicrosoft Certified: Windows Server \/ Azure Administrator<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Operational Maintenance Execution (24\/7 Environment)<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with the RSS Maintenance Supervisor to confirm daily work orders and technical requirements.
\n\tCollect and verify allocated tools, components, and materials from Warehouse Stores against job cards.
\n\tConduct rotational visits to tolling points and roadside infrastructure sites.
\n\tPerform scheduled preventative maintenance as per approved checklists and ensure sign-off upon completion.
\n\tExecute corrective maintenance to resolve identified faults and reported incidents.
\n\tClean and inspect equipment (e.g., camera lenses, sensors, lighting equipment) in accordance with maintenance standards.<\/p>\n
Technical Inspection and Troubleshooting<\/p>\n
\tInspect and test roadside systems including:
\n\tSensors
\n\tCameras and camera lighting equipment
\n\tE-tag readers
\n\tControllers (Server units)
\n\tHP Switches
\n\tFibre communication equipment
\n\tSCADA spot checks
\n\tDiagnose and troubleshoot fibre, network, and power-related faults.
\n\tInstall, replace, and configure software on cameras, switches, and controllers.
\n\tRecord findings, document corrective actions taken, and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical support.
\n\tConduct structural inspections of gantries, poles, and cabinets for damage caused by environmental factors or traffic incidents.<\/p>\n
Installation and Infrastructure Support<\/p>\n
\tPerform safe replacement and installation of gantry-mounted cameras in live roadway environments.
\n\tConduct site risk assessments prior to commencement of work.
\n\tFollow permit-to-work procedures when working at heights.
\n\tEnsure all installations comply with quality standards and contractual KPIs.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Coordination<\/p>\n
\tCompile daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports, including:
\n\tPreventative maintenance checklists
\n\tShift change handover documentation
\n\tFailure type and incident trend analysis per site
\n\tSpare parts inventory monitoring report
\n\tMaintain accurate work records and system logs.
\n\tCommunicate effectively with team members during handover processes.
\n\tEnsure all work complies with contractual timeframes and service standards.<\/p>\n
