\tThis is a specialist position that reports directly to Operations Manager: Underwriting. The role is accountable for the assessment and execution of a compliant and effective medical underwriting function in telephonic support of mainly sales from a medical underwriting perspective, but it includes support to claims and service functions. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Assess and execute medical underwriting to support:<\/p>\n
\tTelephonic support for sales (main function)
\n\tReview of referred underwriting quotes;
\n\tFacilitating communication of medical declines to clients;\u00a0
\n\tQuality Assurance\u00a0
\n\tClient policy amendments with underwriting changes\/impact (Servicing)
\n\tClaims process\u00a0<\/p>\n
What will make you successful in this role?<\/p>\n
Qualification & experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 and preferably nursing or business or commerce degree\/diploma
\n\tExperience in financial distribution sales and servicing, specifically in a call centre environment
\n\tExperience in processing of new business in a life insurance\u00a0
\n\t2-3 years medical underwriting experience
\n\tNursing or medical background experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
