\tWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessing Team Manager to lead our team of skilled assessors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire assessment process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and compliant evaluations.
\n\tThis role is critical for maintaining our standards of excellence and driving continuous improvement within the department. You will provide strong leadership, develop team members, manage workloads, and ensure that all assessment activities align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualification Required<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)\u00a0
\n\tVDQ (Vehicle Damage Quantifier) Qualification\u00a0
\n\tMechanical Engineering \/ Panel beating N2\/ N3 level \/ (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
Minimum Experience<\/p>\n
\t3 – 5 years\u2019 work experience in the following (Advantageous):\u00a0
\n\tWorkshop \/ Motor Industry experience\u00a0
\n\tFront line \/ client relationship experience in a panel beating environment.\u00a0
\n\tPractical panel beating, spray painting, mechanical and electrical experience.\u00a0
\n\tAssessing experience at a short-term insurer Estimating in a panel beating environment<\/p>\n
Deliverables<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Management<\/p>\n
\tLead, coach, and develop a team of motor assessors to deliver consistent, high-quality assessments.
\n\tMonitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and implementing development plans where necessary.
\n\tManage workload allocation to ensure SLA and turnaround time adherence.<\/p>\n
Claims & Assessment Oversight<\/p>\n
\tOversee the assessment of vehicle damages and validation of repair costs to ensure fairness and accuracy.
\n\tEnsure adherence to claims policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
\n\tResolve escalated and complex claims assessment matters efficiently.<\/p>\n
Operational Excellence<\/p>\n
\tMonitor productivity and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
\n\tEnsure accurate and timely reporting on assessment performance and trends.
\n\tCollaborate with claims handlers, suppliers, and panel beaters to ensure seamless workflow.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Quality Control<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.
\n\tConduct regular quality audits on completed assessments and supplier invoices.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder & Supplier Management<\/p>\n
\tBuild and maintain professional relationships with service providers, including repair shops and towing companies.
\n\tNegotiate with suppliers where necessary to achieve cost savings and service improvements<\/p>\n
