Primary purpose of the job<\/p>\n
\tTo coordinate and manage production activities through Team Leaders to ensure optimal output in line with company safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tDrive and enforce safety compliance, ensuring adherence to all safety standards, procedures, and PPE requirements.
\n\tCoordinate line functions through Team Leaders to ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
\n\tMonitor and manage production performance, identifying and resolving constraints impacting output.
\n\tEnsure product quality standards are met and drive reduction of scrap, rework, and defects.
\n\tEnsure adequate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) are available and optimally utilised.
\n\tLead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and subordinates, ensuring performance management in line with company procedures and legislation.
\n\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and OEE Ensure effective communication and coordination with support functions (Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Logistics)
\n\tMonitor and control costs, including overtime, waste, and resource utilisation.
\n\tEnsure accurate reporting, shift handovers, and escalation of risks and issues.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 5 Qualified Artisan \/ National Diploma in Production Management.
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 press shop experience in a supervisory capacity.
\n\tExtensive technical background.
\n\tKnowledge of quality specifications and systems.<\/p>\n
