\tWe\u2019re looking for a dynamic Seafreight Manager with strong forwarding experience to enhance our seafreight offering and support our expanding customer base.
\n\tThis role is for our JHB Seafreight branch based in Linbro Park.<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Certificate
\n\t3-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 6<\/p>\n
Knowledge and experience<\/p>\n
\t10 years Seafreight experience in Freight Forwarding Industry of which 5 years were in a supervisory capacity
\n\tINCO Terms
\n\tProcess knowledge on the movement of goods throughout the supply chain
\n\tBasic international trade principles. Container understanding\/usage
\n\tRate and proposal implementation and maintenance
\n\tUnderstanding of international currencies
\n\tCustoms and other statutory parastatals cargo clearance procedure
\n\tFreight forwarding and clearing document flow procedure. Geography
\n\tCritical thinking skills, problem solving techniques, excellent time management skills
\n\tDelegating, coaching, mentoring and counselling
\n\tEncouraging-motivating a comfortable working environment
\n\tThe ability to organise a team effectively and efficiently
\n\tExecution of functional business objectives and strategies
\n\tComputer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
\n\tInternational Trade principles and procedures. External Business Environment
\n\tCustomer centric. Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
\n\tAction and result orientation. Sound Administration skills
\n\tFinancial acumen. Change management ambassadors
\n\tManaging and resolving conflict
\n\tAssertiveness, Initiative, Proactive, Independence, Integrity and diplomacy<\/p>\n

\tManage and oversee the freight movement of cargo
\n\tAdministration of shipment file
\n\tMonitor and report service providers\u2019 performance
\n\tSales and servicing
\n\tManagement of Seafreight channel
\n\tFinancial Management
\n\tCost sheet level sign off
\n\tComply with the requirements of the quality management system
