Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Debtors Clerk to join our finance team. The Junior Debtors Clerk will be responsible for assisting with managing and maintaining our company’s accounts receivable processes, contacting customers regarding outstanding payments, and ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
\n\tThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent communication skills.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with monitoring and managing the accounts receivable ledger
\n\tContact customers via phone and email to follow up on outstanding payments
\n\tProcess and reconcile customer payments
\n\tEnsure accuracy and completeness of invoices and billing information
\n\tAssist with preparing reports and analyzing accounts receivable data
\n\tWork closely with the Debtors Manager to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues
\n\tAssist with month-end closing processes as needed
\n\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
\n\tRespond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues in a timely manner
\n\tAdhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable processes<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
\n\t1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting department
\n\tStrong understanding of basic accounting principles
\n\tExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal
\n\tProficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
\n\tAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
\n\tDetail-oriented and highly organized
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team
\n\tExperience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) is a plus<\/p>\n
