This role is central to our ability to onboard merchants at speed, maintain high transaction success rates, and expand into new payment channels and geographies.<br \/>\n\tYou will work closely with Engineering, Commercial, Merchant Success, Finance, and Compliance to build and operate a best-in-class integrations platform \u2014 balancing stability and reliability with the pace of new capability delivery.<\/p>\n<p>What You\u2019ll Be Responsible For:<\/p>\n<p>Product Strategy &amp; Roadmap<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn the product vision and roadmap for PayJustNow&#8217;s payment integrations layer \u2014 covering gateway connections, merchant plugins, API integrations, and payment rail connectivity.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and prioritise integration opportunities that unlock merchant growth, improve transaction success rates, or reduce integration friction and time-to-live.<br \/>\n\tDefine and own the integration architecture strategy \u2014 balancing build, buy, and partner decisions across the integrations ecosystem.<br \/>\n\tStay close to evolving payment standards (e.g. 3DS2, open banking, card scheme mandates) and ensure PayJustNow remains compliant and competitive.<\/p>\n<p>Discovery &amp; Problem Definition<\/p>\n<p>\tDeeply understand the merchant integration journey \u2014 from initial API connection and plugin install through to live transaction processing.<br \/>\n\tIdentify where integrations fail, degrade, or create friction for merchants \u2014 and build solutions that reduce time-to-value and integration complexity.<br \/>\n\tWork with Commercial and Merchant Success to capture integration gaps blocking new merchant acquisition or expansion.<br \/>\n\tUse transaction data, error logs, and merchant feedback to identify reliability and performance issues before they become commercial problems.<\/p>\n<p>Delivery &amp; Execution<\/p>\n<p>\tLead cross-functional delivery squads to design, build, and ship integration capabilities \u2014 including APIs, SDKs, plugins (WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, etc.), and direct gateway connections.<br \/>\n\tWrite clear product briefs, integration specs, and developer-facing documentation standards.<br \/>\n\tManage third-party PSP and gateway relationships from a product perspective \u2014 ensuring integrations are maintained, certified, and performing.<br \/>\n\tDrive the reliability and uptime of the integrations layer \u2014 owning incident response protocols alongside Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tAct as the primary product partner for Commercial, Merchant Success, Finance, and Engineering on all integration-related decisions.<br \/>\n\tCommunicate clearly on integration status, risks, and roadmap priorities to senior leadership.<br \/>\n\tSupport the sales process by providing integration timelines, capability overviews, and technical feasibility assessments for prospective merchants.<br \/>\n\tEngage with gateway and PSP partners to influence roadmaps and secure early access to new capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Measurement &amp; Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n<p>\tDefine and track success metrics, including:<br \/>\n\tTransaction success rate (TSR) and decline reasons<br \/>\n\tIntegration time-to-live for new merchants<br \/>\n\tAPI uptime and error rates<br \/>\n\tGateway-level authorisation rates<br \/>\n\tIntegration coverage across key merchant platforms<br \/>\n\tUse data to continuously improve integration reliability, reduce failure rates, and optimise payment performance.<\/p>\n<p>First 90 Days \u2013 What Success Looks Like<\/p>\n<p>First 30 Days: Understand &amp; Connect<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild strong relationships with Engineering, Commercial, Merchant Success, Finance, and Compliance.<br \/>\n\tDeeply understand the current integrations landscape \u2014 active gateways, merchant plugins, API versions, and known pain points.<br \/>\n\tReview current integration error rates, TSRs, and the merchant onboarding funnel to establish baseline performance.<br \/>\n\tMap the existing roadmap, in-flight integrations, and technical debt in the integrations layer.<\/p>\n<p>Days 31\u201360: Shape &amp; Prioritise<\/p>\n<p>\tArticulate the integration product strategy \u2014 what to build, maintain, deprecate, and partner on.<br \/>\n\tDefine priority integrations based on commercial impact and merchant demand.<br \/>\n\tEstablish a clear framework for integration certification, versioning, and deprecation.<br \/>\n\tAlign Engineering and Commercial teams around a shared integration roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>Days 61\u201390: Deliver &amp; Lead<\/p>\n<p>\tShip at least one meaningful integration improvement \u2014 whether a new gateway connection, plugin release, or reliability fix.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrate early commercial impact through improved merchant onboarding speed or transaction performance data.<br \/>\n\tEstablish clear operating rhythms with Engineering and Merchant Success.<br \/>\n\tBe recognised as the go-to product owner for PayJustNow&#8217;s payment integrations.<\/p>\n<p>What We\u2019re Looking For<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t5+ years&#8217; experience as a Product Manager, with significant exposure to payment systems, integrations platforms, or developer-facing products.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrable experience owning API or platform products \u2014 ideally in payments, fintech, or e-commerce.<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with payment rails, gateway integrations, PSP relationships, and card scheme rules (Visa\/Mastercard).<br \/>\n\tExperience working across merchant plugin ecosystems (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar) is a strong advantage.<br \/>\n\tComfortable operating in regulated environments with PCI-DSS, AML, and compliance considerations.<\/p>\n<p>Skills &amp;
